In this week-long program, students use historical fiction as a springboard for research, character development and oral communication.  Kim shares stories of history and society, during the moment in time in which each book occurs.  Novels from various eras are the foundation used to develop "What's Next?" tales.  Students make up and polish stories that could happen to characters, between chapters of their books.  The week culminates with student performances.  Kim can also present up to four concerts during the week, to delight the whole school’s students and staff.  She strives to meet portions of grade level Ohio academic content standards in language arts and social studies during this residency.
