Todd Yarrington

Artist's Narrative

Todd Yarrington Todd A. Yarrington is an award-winning photographer/designer who has been producing work for the Central Ohio community for over twenty years.

His commercial work for the healthcare industry has gained him a loyal following of clients in that arena. In 1991 he expanded business to offer digital imaging services with great success. He combines the creativity of a photographer's eye with the expertise of the latest computer graphics technology and the ability to Art Direct, Photograph, Design and Produce.

Many of his personal works draw attention to the beauty of the natural world around us. Rather than pursuing exotic, hard to find subjects, he turns his lens to the micro-world that exists around us all. Many shots are taken no further away than his own back yard. He looks very closely at textures, colors, and patterns which are often completely overlooked.

Todd lives near Sunbury, Ohio with his wife Linda, and children Ali and Evan.

Programs Available

Learning to See (K-12)
Real time demonstration with a digital camera and monitor. Students will learn about pixels, color theory, lighting, details, composition, the fun that can be had by turning any found object into art, and how anyone with any camera can take better pictures. Todd supports this with his own fine art nature images and with demonstrations that include the kids. He will share some of the tricks of the trade, and show how commercially printed pieces which appear to contain thousands of colors are made by only printing four: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. This presentation works best with class size groups. Discussion of technical terms and concepts can be adjusted to fit any age group.
